Blickle extends its range of truck locks
Truck locks securely and reliably lock transport units and mobile equipment in their resting position. Instead of using a jack to raise them up, truck locks make it quick and easy to lock transport units in place by simply pressing a pedal. Blickle already offered a range of truck locks with large top plate fittings for heavy duty applications.
In response to demand from the market, Blickle has added new versions for less heavy-duty applications - mainly for wheel diameters of 100 and 125 mm - with a small top plate fitting: the FF 100-1 and FF 125-1. They are used in almost any sector where a braking function is required, and are particularly well suited for transport units used for intralogistics, work tables and travelling carriages on assembly lines, but can also be used for equipment and units with spring-loaded castors. These new versions can achieve the same brake force as the previous heavy-duty truck locks with top plate fittings. The maximum surface contact pressure in combination with suitable castors amounts to approx. 60 kg.
Regardless of the weight of the trolley, the truck locks are always actuated with the same force. They also provide greater stability on smooth floors than braked standard castors with a hard tread.
Usually, only one truck lock is required for each application. In contrast to a traditional transport unit with two castors, locking can be carried out in a single movement. This saves time when used frequently. Where there is an arrangement of two swivel castors and two fixed castors, the locks are usually installed between the swivel castors. Truck locks are also suitable for a diamond castor arrangement or for higher-mounted fixed castors for towing operation. When operated, the truck lock deflects by up to 10 mm. This ensures that the transport unit and goods are reliably fixed in place. The new versions have a plate size of 100 x 85 millimetres (standard for a wide range of applications) and can be combined with the Blickle bracket series LE, L and LK. With the addition of these new versions, Blickle now provides a wide range of truck locks for all series. This unique selection is a perfect complement to innovative logistics solutions and keeps Blickle one step ahead of the rest of the market.
